Looking for an exciting and rewarding career in commercial construction? We're seeking Project Manager candidates for construction projects in our Greensboro, NC region. To be considered for this position, candidates should have a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a construction-related field, 2-5 years of experience in concrete and/or carpentry project supervision, and will be knowledgeable in project management including concrete/carpentry, estimating, safety, quality control, and scheduling.
As a leader for the project team, responsibilities will include creating a safe work environment, organizing site logistics, establishing a work pace that achieves schedule commitments, assuring construction quality, and monitoring and tracking project progress and risks. The Project Manager must be able to work proactively and professionally with a large group of stakeholders including subcontractors, suppliers, and owner's representatives. Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and scheduling software. Willingness to learn new software technology and estimating software.
- Math Skills: Numerical and analytical skills related to job cost, dimension and layout, elevations, and production rates.
- Learning Orientation: Pursue related educational and training for job performance improvements and to share knowledge and debate concepts with the Christman team.

Work Environment
The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site, and in an office trailer where they will monitor the project and make daily decisions about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires they wear protective equipment when on the construction site (Hardhats, safety glasses, and high visibility clothing). Temperature and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons.
Expected Hours of Work Full time position. Occasional extended hours and weekend may apply.
Travel Travel to and from the construction site is required, majority of the work will be done at the site. Most of the travel will be local, but some long distance and overnight travel may be required depending on the project.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, and other relevant course work, or years of work experience in related job field.
- Six (6+) or more years' of relevant work experience or proven established work history for the position.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Historic Preservation experience.
