Job Description:
Ultimate Staffing has partnered with a family owned company in the residential construction industry in their search for a detail oriented and customer centric Concrete estimator with a minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction and concrete foundation projects. The Estimator will be responsible for assessing the scope of work and preparing and completing proposals with accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for all phases of each project. The Estimator partner with the sales team to develop new business by fostering relationships with engineers, architects, subcontractors, contractors, vendors, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, architects, subcontractors, contractors, vendors, etc. to ensure accurate estimates and successful completion of projects.
· Keep project stakeholders well informed of project and keep thorough reporting and be prepared to present to management
· Understand and analyze project documents
· Perform accurate quantity take offs
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field experience
· Strong knowledge of residential construction and concrete foundations methods, materials and best practices, with a minimum of at least 2 years of experience in residential construction/estimating
· Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word)
· Highly motivated
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent time management
· Ability to read and understand architectural and structural project plans as well as site plans
· Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and bids simultaneously
