Basic IDIQ, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Construction Accounting Assistant/AP Specialist to join our dedicated accounting team. - Vendor and Invoice Management: Prepare, enter, and maintain vendor information and invoices with precision and accuracy.
- Accounts Payable: Process AP checks and ACH payments, ensuring timely and precise payment of invoices.
- Job Setup and Updates: Set up new construction jobs, manage purchase orders (POs), and update job-related data in the accounting system.
- Expense Allocations: Allocate credit card charges, insurance expenses, and other costs across projects for accurate financial tracking.
- Cross-Training and Support: Provide backup support to the Controller and assist other accounting team members as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on details, accuracy and thoroughness in all accounting tasks.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with vendors, team members, and clients.
- Dependability: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- QuickBooks: Proficiency in QuickBooks Construction software preferred.
- Self-motivated: A proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges and learn.
- Compliance: Ability to pass a background and drug screening before start.
- Education: Associate Degree in Accounting (Preferred).
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in construction accounting and familiarity with GAAP preferred.
