Position Summary
McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Construction Administrator to join our engineering design team in New Jersey, focusing on Construction Engineering Services (CES) for heavy highway transportation projects. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with design engineers and project managers to ensure that construction projects are executed according to design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between design and construction, ensuring smooth project delivery and compliance.
Job Requirements:
Responsibilities
- Assists project managers with data input/spreadsheet updates, and compiling progress reports
- Facilitate communication between the engineering design team, construction contractors and clients.
- Attend and document pre-construction meetings, design reviews, and project progress meetings.
- Prepare and manage construction related documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders, ensuring all documents are properly recorded and communicated.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in construction of heavy highway or transportation projects.
- Proficiency in administrative software, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). General knowledge of engineering software (Bentley Microstation and Bluebeam Revu) is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites and meetings as required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret engineering designs and communicate effectively with both engineers and construction personnel.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
