About the Job
US Trades and Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a prestigious and complex construction project with a total budget of $60 million. As the Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of the project within budget and schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards and adhering to safety regulations. Your exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills will be essential to coordinate the activities of various teams, subcontractors, and suppliers involved in the project.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop a comprehensive project plan, including construction schedules, resource allocation, and budget management, in collaboration with the project manager and stakeholders.
Ensure that all activities align with project objectives, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Oversee and coordinate the execution of construction activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety guidelines, and building codes.
Team Management:
Lead and supervise on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, foremen, and other personnel.
Assign tasks, provide clear instructions, and monitor progress to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of project milestones.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
Quality Control and Safety:
Implement and enforce rigorous quality control procedures to guarantee that construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any concerns promptly.
Communication and Collaboration:
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including the project manager, clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory authorities.
Conduct regular meetings to provide updates on project progress, resolve issues, and address any challenges or changes that may arise.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless coordination of activities and resolve technical issues.
Budget and Cost Management:
Monitor project costs, review and approve invoices, and track expenses to ensure adherence to the project budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering possibilities, and recommend alternative solutions to maintain project profitability without compromising quality.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably managing large-scale projects with budgets exceeding $60 million.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to address issues promptly and effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in using construction management software and tools to track project progress, budgets, and documentation.
Pay Range is $80-$130 per year, plus per diem.
Location: Orlando, FL
