• Reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Selecting and sourcing materials, tools, and equipment needed for carpentry work.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials (such as wood, fiberglass, drywall, and plastic) to build or repair structures, fixtures, furniture, and other items.
• Installing structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, countertops, stairs, molding, trim, and hardware.
• Building and installing framing for structures, including walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
• Ensuring structures are level, plumb, and properly aligned.
• Repairing or replacing damaged or defective parts or components of structures.
• Performing finishing work, such as sanding, staining, varnishing, or painting surfaces.
• Operating hand and power tools, including saws, drills, planers, routers, sanders, and pneumatic tools.
• Following safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Collaborating with other construction workers, contractors, and project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Providing guidance and supervision to apprentice carpenters and laborers when necessary.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and tools.
• Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Load and unload equipment and materials, follow complex instructions, and ensure compliance with building codes.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification from technical schools, especially in carpentry, is preferred.
• Proven experience in carpentry, with a portfolio of previous work.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to different job sites as needed.
• Strong physical stamina and dexterity.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and familiarity with construction equipment and hand tools.
