About the role
We are looking to add a Construction Crew team member to our growing Construction Department. As a Construction Crew team member, you will report directly to the Construction Supervisor and will be responsible for assisting with site preparation, handling materials, and operating equipment. The Construction Crew team member will tackle both basic and more complex tasks, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with standard operating procedures. This fully on-site position will directly support our construction operations at our Rockdale, TX facility.
Essential Functions
- Carry and move materials.
- Operate hand tools.
- Use heavy machinery as directed by supervisors.
- Assist with loading and unloading construction materials and equipment.
- Material Handling-Transport materials, tools, and machinery on the job site and ensure they are properly stored and organized.
- Site preparation-assist in preparing job sites before construction begins.
- Clear debris, set up temporary structures, dig trenches, or assist with excavation work.
- Construction support-crew members provide support to other construction team members, such as contractors, electricians, and operations team.
- Must follow safety guidelines and receive proper training to operate equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must be able to use equipment like a forklift, skid-steers, or tools like jackhammers or concrete. mixers or be willing to learn to operate required machinery and equipment.

Education and Experience
- 1-3 years material handling/equipment operation experience preferred.
- 1-3 years in construction preferred, not required, must be willing to learn.
- Leadership abilities with excellent problem-solving and independent decision-making skills.
