Construction Engineer - T.Y. Lin International

Job Description: Coordinate and work with inspectors for field reviews, data collection and analysis, studies, and forecasting. Verify construction documents to field conditions. Conduct in-depth research to develop recommendations for approaches, concepts, materials, and equipment selection. Collect and manage data for engineering or construction work such as to perform quantity take-offs for development of engineering estimate. Assure that drawings, calculations, and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards and strengths, follow Quality Assurance and Control procedures. Prepare project data for schedules, assist in preparing schedules and budgets to monitor progress reports. Assist in change orders negotiations with contractors. Review contractor invoicing to verify quantities and enter contractor invoices into Client’s online system.Minimum Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.Experience: Two (2) years of experience in job offered, or Project Manager, or in a related occupation.Education or experience in: Academic training or work experience in the following: 1. Infrastructure Construction with NYCT (New York City Transit);2. Construction Drawings & Specifications;3. Cost Estimation;4. Change order management;5. CPM Scheduling analysis;6. Invoice review and package preparation;7. Asite (Cloud Based Storage).
