Summary: Seeking a Construction Engineer for a 12+ month contract to manage construction oversight of architectural facilities projects in a shipyard environment.
Requirements:
BS degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)
5+ years of construction experience
Field verification expertise
Knowledge of site safety, OSHA, LOTO
Project scheduling skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience in shipyard construction
Familiarity with recent Trane, Jacobs, or GDLS Facilities/Construction PM roles
Responsibilities:
Plan, design, and oversee new or expanded facility construction
Prepare architectural, engineering, and cost estimates along with functional studies and schedules
Obtain and supervise outside contractors
Recommend design procedures and standards for facility planning and design
Supervise detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of projects
Conduct site inspections to monitor vendor progress and resolve conflicts
Support bid showings with vendors and manage project turnover to stakeholders
Pay Details: $29.00 to $39.00 per hour
