Construction Field Engineer - Pointer Smith Contracting Corporation

The Construction Field Engineer is responsible for assisting in the management of rail construction projects. The Construction Field Engineer is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project with the Track Superintendent and Project Manager. 

Job Duties:

• Assist in the management of large cap rail projects
• Act as field representative of the project with client/owner
• Material Procurement
• Quantity Tracking/ Takeoffs
• Estimate Items of Work
• Project Schedule Updates

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• The maximum unassisted lift requirement is 51 pounds for all physical job descriptions.
• Must observe all safety protocol.

Experience/Skills Required:

• Must have 0-3 years construction management/engineering experience. 
• Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar is preferred but not required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and construction management software.
