Vertical Mechanical Group is looking for a Construction Field Operations Coordinator to take charge of our field operations. In this role, you will manage and develop our construction field staff, ensuring projects are staffed appropriately, performance is on target, and our high standards of safety and quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Field Staffing: Oversee hiring, onboarding, and assignment of field personnel to ensure proper staffing levels for each project.
- Lead and Coach Field Teams: Provide leadership and direction to foremen, superintendents, and field crews. Offer feedback and coaching to drive performance and professional growth.
- Coordinate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers and superintendents to assess and fulfill manning needs, adjusting staff assignments as necessary.
- Performance Management: Monitor field staff performance, address challenges, and provide guidance to ensure project goals are met.
- Recruitment & Talent Pipeline: Partner with Talent Acquisition to recruit and maintain a pipeline of skilled field professionals to meet current and future project needs.
- Foster a Culture of Safety: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and company policies across all sites.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify training and development opportunities for field staff, promoting skill-building and compliance with industry standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in construction management, with a focus on field operations and staffing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and resolve issues quickly.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, project timelines, and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management software is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
