Position Summary:
The Construction Information Entry Specialist is responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate construction data in company databases. This role is crucial for ensuring project documents, schedules, budgets, and reports are properly recorded, accessible, and up to date. The specialist will work closely with project managers, engineers, and administrative staff to support smooth project execution and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Management: Maintain, organize, and update construction documents, including blueprints, contracts, permits, and progress reports.
- Data Verification: Review and verify the accuracy of data entered into the system, ensuring all records are current and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to collect and input relevant data, providing administrative support where necessary.
- Report Generation: Assist in generating reports for project managers, stakeholders, and clients by compiling data on project progress, costs, and schedules.
- File Organization: Ensure all documents and data are properly categorized and filed for easy retrieval by team members and management.
- Software Utilization: Use construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) to track and store project data efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in data entry, document control, or administrative support within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong proficiency in data entry and document management software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with construction documentation, including blueprints, contracts, and project schedules, is a plus.
