Location: Based out of our Farmingdale Office (Nassau and Suffolk Counties).
Responsibilities:M&J Engineering is seeking experienced personnel for Construction Inspector positions. This position is a field related position with respect to Long Island municipal construction projects. Construction Inspector will inspect various aspects construction activities and perform to ensure compliance with the contract provisions. Responsibilities include inspection of daily construction work ensure compliance with contract plans and specifications, minimum testing of materials, review contractor submittals, requests for information and coordinate with the contractor, monitor maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT), prepare daily inspection reports, perform field measurements of pay items, provide computations for pay items, participate in meetings, preparing meeting minutes and follow up action items. And other responsibilities as warranted.

- At least 6+ years of experience with Long Island Highway, Roadway, Stormwater, Site, Building, Waterway, or Shoreline Construction Improvement projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- ACI and NICET certifications required. PE a plus.
- Reliable transportation required.
- OSHA 30 Hours certification is required.
