Construction Laborer at Larry Bloch Builders

Responsibilites for Laborer / Supservisor:

• Assist construction crew with various tasks directed by Construction Supervisors
• Ensure and maintain that all job sites are clean and clear.  This includes exterior and interior work sites during all stages of home construction. (ie: clean, sweep, mop, clean up debris, de-ice, shovel, manage dumpsters/trash)
• Plan, coordinate and install all cover up prior to job start-ups and remove upon completion
• Support carpenters, masons, and other skilled workers on site with their tasks
• Ability to create and implement a daily and weekly schedule prioritizing tasks
• Check company main schedule daily to coordinate daily and weekly tasks
• Unload/load materials from vendors delivery and/or trucks and bring to assigned job site
• Maintain established schedule and ensure a smooth process and report any delays to Construction Supervisor
• Post company sign at job sites once job begins and remove upon completion

Qualifications:

• Must have at least one year experience or knowledge of basic construction methods
• Familiarity with carpentry, drywall and masonry is beneficial, but not required
• Must be able to operate hand tools, power tools and equipment safely and effectively
• Must be able to lift heavy items and perform manual labor for extended periods
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend and kneel throughout shift
• Strong work ethic and able to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, be drug free and pass background check
• Must have some basic computer, phone and email skills
