Construction Manager
Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the Construction Manager is responsible to manage construction activities for the implementation of various distributed energy resource projects including combined heat & power (CHP), fuel cells, energy storage, solar & geothermal technologies for our customers. Endurant Energy seeks to expand the Energy Storage group through the addition of talented, driven individuals. Our core team is composed of independent thinkers who effectively collaborate to develop viable solutions to today’s energy challenges. Endurant Energy’s Storage Team leverages the interdisciplinary backgrounds and experiences within the team to develop holistic, sustainable projects.
The role will be primarily focused at customer project sites in the New York City area including expansion into NJ and CT.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee various aspects of construction projects from planning to completion
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to the construction schedule
- Monitor construction schedules and update progress accordingly
- Manage onsite construction to ensure compliance with applicable scope, design, construction specs, codes and safety regulations
- Coordinate and resolve RFIs between contractors and customers
- Prepare and maintain weekly status reports, with data and photos as required
- Manage the onsite relationship with the client and other project stakeholders
- Coordinate and schedule the quality control activities with contractors and suppliers
- Ensure site HSSE plan is complied: site safety briefings, toolbox talks and JHAs are documented, reviewed and gathered
- Creation of weekly progress report, taking photos as appropriate to document work
- Create and maintain project status and progress documentation
- Assist in coordinating commissioning activities and perform job close out procedure
- Maintain effective relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and subcontractors
Requirements
- Min 5 years in construction management experience
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in construction management or related
- Familiarity with energy or utility related construction preferably with distributed energy resource technologies, including combined heat & power, fuel cells, energy storage, and microgrids
- Proven experience effectively managing various aspects of construction, including
- managing scope, budget, schedule, and permitting

- Ability to work in small teams within a faced-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS Project
Location: New York City
Salary Range: $90,000 - $130,000 / annually
