About the Job
The Co-Op position is a support level position for the Operations Department. This is a paid role that will allow those currently attending undergraduate/graduate universities to earn credit toward their degree. This position is responsible for assisting with ongoing project needs and various tasks such as creating purchase orders, coordinating materials, and maintaining project paperwork. This position will be a Spring Part Time role and /or a full time Summer internship to work out of the Pittsburgh, PA office location and is assigned to the Operations Department.

What you'll do:
- Work closely with the Operations department to ensure a reliable flow of information.
- Generate submittal schedule/log based of off specification sections.
- Create purchases purchase orders.
- Maintain daily report and compilation for weekly reports.
- Create weekly report for review by project management and necessary parties.
- Distribute baseline schedule and subcontractor acknowledgement.
- Distribute monthly schedule update to all involved in project i.e., subs/owner/architect.
- Process, distribute, and file owner/sub COR's/CO's.
- Notify architect/owner/project manager on time sensitive/overdue items.
- Setup and maintain electronic and paper closeout binders including warranty information, permits, inspections, etc.
- Print and distribute drawings to the necessary parties for initial project execution.
- Distribute updated schedules and two week look ahead to subcontractors and clients.
- Create purchase orders for information received from project manager.
- Collect and oversee project close outs.
- Discuss and coordinate with project management on general conditions procurement; such equipment rentals, etc.
- Maintain subcontractor files and log to assure all paperwork is submitted as required.
- Send out monthly cost report updates. i.e., percentage completion, production units.
- Print Sub/PO/COR/CO and Timberline cost report for monthly project management review.
- Additional tasks as necessary and/or assigned.
What you'll need to be familiar with:
- Client relations and communication proficiency.
- Scheduling and multi-tasking.
- Results driven.
- Problem solving/analysis.
- Time and financial management.
Your success story:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
- Computer Skills; proficiency in MS office, required. Timberline and estimating software, preferred.
- Willingness to travel to jobsites within a 90-mile radius of the city of Pittsburgh.
