Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Construction Planner to join our Team in the Salt Lake City, UT area. The Planner position prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications. Non-exempt role; Reports to Planning Supervisor or Foreman; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- High school or equivalent
- Minimum four (4) years to five (5) years of field experience and/or education in construction technology
- Construction planning experience required
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to plan job tasks and job durations into a work schedule
- May require Turner qualifications for proprietary software
- Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures, Estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job, Reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate, Prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work, Maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures, Follows contracts as assigned - may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc., Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
