To meet our growth goals, we are adding a Construction Plumber to the team. In this role, as a Construction Plumber in the construction industry ensures that plumbing systems are properly installed, maintained, and repaired in various structures such as residential buildings, commercial properties, and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities:
Installation of Plumbing Systems: Construction plumbers are responsible for installing plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and drainage systems. They must follow blueprints, building codes, and specifications to ensure proper installation.
Reading Blueprints and Plans: Construction plumbers need to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of plumbing systems in a building. They must understand the design requirements and ensure that installations comply with local building codes and regulations.
Pipefitting and Welding: They cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using various tools and equipment. In some cases, they may need to weld pipes together using welding techniques such as soldering, brazing, or welding.
Testing and Inspecting Systems: Construction plumbers conduct tests to ensure that newly installed plumbing systems function properly. They may perform pressure tests to check for leaks and inspect systems for compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Maintenance and Repair: Construction plumbers are responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in existing buildings. This may involve troubleshooting problems, replacing worn-out components, and performing preventive maintenance to prevent future issues.
Collaboration with Other Trades: Construction plumbers often work closely with other construction professionals, such as electricians, HVAC technicians, and carpenters, to coordinate the installation of various building systems. Effective communication and collaboration are essential to ensure smooth project progress.
Compliance with Safety Regulations: Construction plumbers must adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE), following safety procedures, and identifying potential hazards on the job site.
