Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with a leading construction engineering company in search of a proven Project Accountant. The Project Accountant will provide vital financial support for construction projects by managing job costing, preparing billings, analyzing financials, and assisting project managers. Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of project job costing (categorization, recording, analysis).
- Prepare & analyze monthly project billings according to contract terms.
- Conduct regular financial analysis & reconcile project costs to budget.
- Process project payables & subcontract invoices efficiently.
- Generate & analyze job performance & profitability reports.
- Assist Project Manager with reports & maintain accurate project data.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5 years of project accounting experience (construction preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles & practices.
- Excellent organization & detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Analytical with ability to interpret financial data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
