As a Construction Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in bridging communication between the office, project managers, and field teams. Your role will ensure that construction projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. You'll coordinate project activities, manage documentation, and act as the key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections and promote a culture of safety on project sites.
- Assist Project Managers in scheduling and coordinating project activities.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.
- Perform quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Act as the primary liaison between project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Manage the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Track project costs and assist in managing budgets and expenditures.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and coordinating travel for the project team.
- Assist in training and development of new team members on company protocols and safety practices.
- Always be ready to take on tasks outside your regular scope, contributing to the overall success of Apex.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably in construction.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of construction processes and terminology is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Customer service-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary & Benefits:
- Full Time
- Hourly rate of $24 - $28.75, based on experience.
