L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Construction Project Manager.
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to support a growing design and manufacturing firm across multiple sites with both large and small facility expansion and infrastructure projects, renovations, and moves.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within budget, on time, and with the highest quality standards. The Construction Project Manager will work closely with stakeholders, contractors, and team members to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Lead full-set drawing review as well as incremental reviews for any changes. Goal is to ensure all client needs are met and reflected in the drawings.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure construction is meeting specifications. Highlight and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Liaise with town and be the company's POC to ensure plans and construction maintain compliance to local and state codes. Triage and resolve conflicts and track associated costs for potential claims.
- Create and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
- Track expenses, review and validate invoices against work performed, and understand where there is opportunity for value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the main point of contact for client, providing regular updates on project status.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred Skills:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
