About the Job
The Construction Projects and Strategy Lead has overall accountabilities for all projects and processes within the Capital and Construction Workstream. KGS partners with Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc (JLL), forming the division named, LIFT (Land, Infrastructure, Facilities, & Transactions) to provide consulting, advisory and construction project management services globally. A key responsibility in this position is to support and guide JLL to deliver world class construction project execution in alignment with Principle Based Management philosophy for Koch affiliate companies.
Our Team
LIFT, a division of Koch Global Services, LLC (KGS) is seeking a Construction Projects and Strategy Lead to develop and drive capital operational business strategy to continually transform the work experience while managing the performance of 3rd party partners.
What You Will Do
- Leadership (modeling, coaching, influencing) in all aspects of the KGS LIFT operations strategy, optimization, and execution of capital projects ~$100MM with a growth vision to expand to $250MM in the next 3-5 years
- Collaborate and support key LIFT partners/capabilities (Real Estate Portfolio and Facilities Management) to ensure seamless delivery from inception to completion under an integrated service delivery approach.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Koch business partners, providing strategic support and guidance aligned with the project vision, fostering collaborative relationships that drive forward-thinking solutions and mutual success.
- Act as a liaison with business relationship managers to identify and assess new business opportunities, supporting the scoping, alignment, and initial definition phases of a project.
- Build and grow trusted relationships with LIFT preferred partners/service providers, LIFT Business Partners, and Koch Companies.
- Support JLL partner in coaching design firms, 3rd party vendors, and general contractors to ensure and accelerate their alignment and application of Principle Based Management to create a foundation of service excellence.
- Deliver scalable, flexible, and consistent project execution process that supports continual transformation of our capabilities and supports long-term value creation for Koch
- Manage foundational tools in conjunction with JLL to ensure these stay relevant to day-to-day work efforts. This includes playbooks, templates, workflows, and contracting strategies for 3rd party partners.
- Willingness to travel (Approx. 15-25%).
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in real estate or construction management; preconstruction services, contracting methodology, cost control, and dispute resolution
- Ability to adapt to customer needs, expectations, and navigate project ambiguity, ensuring successful project completion.
- Proven experience in customer engagement and framing key initiatives effectively.
- Contractor/vendor management experience
- Experience working in team environment, leading collaboration between multiple workstreams and ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
What Will Put You Ahead
- A strong working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and process as they relate to corporate real estate and construction
- Experience developing and executing global project and program management strategies.
- Expertise in guiding owners' requirements data gathering and supporting the integrated solution delivery model.
- Demonstrated application of Principle Based Management.
