Construction Safety Officer - Talentwise Consulting

What you'll do:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for the Southern California project sites and will be based out of our Santa Clarita office.

·Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.

·Maintain, and update as necessary, Site Safety Plans and Site Safety Training.

·Conduct occasional site inspections to identify potential hazards

·Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions

·Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to support regulatory standards being followed.

·Provide safety training to employees on various topics including OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures

·Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents

·Collaborate with the Safety Officer to ensure a safe work environment for all employees

Your qualifications and Experience:

·Education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field

·Certification in EHS or related field is a plus

·Proven experience working in safety compliance, risk management, or related field

·Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·Experience with Procore, or other construction management software

·Understanding of construction management principles

·Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE
