Construction Superintendent (Custom Homes)
Ambition Custom Homes (ACH) is seeking a Site Superintendent to play a pivotal role in our award-winning residential custom building firm providing services in Montgomery County, MD, and the surrounding areas. As a Site Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our custom home construction projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities and conditions, coordinating schedules with our trade partners and vendors, handling material procurement, organization, and proper use, and ensuring that our high-quality standards are met throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all on-site aspects of residential construction projects from start to finish.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor and manage project budgets and expenses in collaboration with the head project manager.
- Coordinate and participate in site progress meetings with the project manager and clients.
- Keep detailed daily logs for each project in the Buildertrend software, including site-related activities, conversations, photos, and other relevant information.
- Schedule all site inspections with the appropriate agencies.
- Oversee daily on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and schedule trade partners and laborers as needed for active projects.
- Conduct daily site inspections to maintain quality control, cleanliness, proper use and disposal of materials, and other site-related aspects.
- Ensure that all work meets or exceeds the company's high-quality standards.
- Promptly and efficiently address any issues or defects without covering them up.
- Implement and enforce company quality assurance processes.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and work with the assigned project manager to address client concerns.
- Engage in site-related communication as needed, with most client interaction managed by the project manager.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, designers, ACH team members, and other professionals to ensure clear understanding and achievement of project specifications.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and productive working environment on-site.
- Ensure all necessary permits are obtained and inspections are successfully conducted.
- Schedule inspections and stay updated with building codes and regulations to ensure project compliance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a construction superintendent or a similar role in residential construction is a plus.
- The ideal candidate has worked in the residential custom home building industry, preferably as a framing carpenter for a subcontractor.
- Possesses hands-on experience and understanding of assemblies and plan reading.
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- OSHA certification and understanding of safety protocols.
- A bachelors degree in construction management or a related field is a plus, however, Field experience is more valued.
- Exhibits a willingness to learn and grow within our company
- Willingness to travel and work in and around Montgomery County.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
Salary and Benefits:
- Full Time
- Salary at $65,000 - $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
