About the Job
Arcadia Builders, a WindRiver owned company, is looking for a qualified construction superintendent to coordinate and manage all on-site activities for multiple construction projects, collaborating closely with the Senior Project Manager to deliver successful high-quality projects to owners on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Effectively schedule, coordinate and oversee all project subcontractors.
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
- Maintain a daily log for the job site's operations, reporting to management as necessary.
- Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
- Ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections occur to support the project schedule.
- Ensure the overall jobsite is safe for workers and visitors as well as manage compliance with established company safety policies.
- Ensure daily site cleanliness
- Work with the Senior Project Manager to create and manage the overall project and 3 week look ahead schedules, including creating the master schedule and updating it on a weekly basis.
- Conduct on-site project meetings with subcontractors and construction trades lead personnel.
- Work with the project team to maintain relationships with owners, visitors, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage site work and logistics of construction sites.
- Provide feedback on processes and procedures, as the company truly believes in continuous development.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- 5+ years' experience in construction supervision
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in construction
- Strong organization and communication skills required
- Available and willing to workdays, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow clear direction and communicate effectively
- Must be able to work successfully on a team
Physical Requirements
Must be able to bend, stoop, climb, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to stand and continuously move for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be willing to work in an outdoor environment for up to 8 hours at a time.
