Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Supervise on-site contractors and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are clearly understood and completed efficiently.
- Review and manage project progress, quality of work, and costs, making necessary changes as needed.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure project success.
- Lead and manage tenant improvement (TI) projects, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Handle on-site emergencies or unexpected project obstacles, implementing effective solutions to minimize delays and costs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects within the retail, grocery, restaurant, and commercial sectors.
- Solid understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
- Proficient in interpreting and using construction plans, blueprints, and drawings.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a construction team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA safety guidelines.
- A stable work history, demonstrating reliability and commitment.
- A degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
