Construction Traveling Electrical Project Manager
Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrical Project Manager to lead and manage complex electrical projects in an industrial setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and team collaboration, with a focus on delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
- Must be local to Indianapolis
- Willingness to travel frequently (50%)
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans that outline scope, timelines, budgets, and resource needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives and specifications.
- Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, electricians, and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Execution and Oversight: Manage daily project activities, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues or changes in scope.
- Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and oversee project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources to achieve financial goals.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines and objectives are met.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, reports, and change orders. Ensure all project records are up-to-date and accessible.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure all work meets industry standards and client specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of [5+] years of project management experience in an industrial electrical setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles, and installation practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and electrical design tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
