BayCare Medical Group is actively seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to serve in a Consult/Liaison role at Winter Haven Hospital, Florida. This opportunity offers an exceptional work/life balance at our Winter Haven Hospital, a comprehensive 468-bed facility, including a dedicated women's hospital, providing a wide range of healthcare services.
Position Overview:
The Consult/Liaison Inpatient Psychiatrist provides inpatient psychiatric services to individuals experiencing mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders in assigned areas. The Psychiatrist will manage approximately 15 consults per day, contributing significantly to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications:Responsibilities:
- Conducts psychiatry evaluations and medication management to targeted populations.
- Completes all required paperwork as required by FSS - Baker Act statutes and all other applicable regulatory bodies. Participates in Baker act proceedings as necessary.
- Provides clinical consultation to medical services and other treatment team members.
- Performs on call duties as applicable to assigned site to include admission orders and emergency issues.
- One week of call coverage is required. May take additional call for additional pay.
Position requirements:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry, experience preferred.
