Job Summary:
This role offers the right candidate an exciting opportunity to join at the dynamic initial phase of opening our first New York office. They will have a meaningful impact on the office culture and growth, together with senior leadership.
As a Manager, you are responsible for driving an engagement from the outset to its completion to the client's satisfaction and according to internal quality and profitability standards. Your role is to define objectives, scope, deliverables, approach, and plan for any given engagement.
Managers build the team, guide, and coach consultants, solve issues, and anticipate pitfalls in active collaboration with the Engagement Lead on the project.
You will typically oversee up to 3 or more projects simultaneously, depending on size and complexity. Your role will include:
- Acting as the day-to-day manager for a portfolio of consulting projects with responsibility for project delivery, team and project resource management, client relationships and upwards management with senior leaders
- Actively developing junior resources on the project in general consulting skills and project related content and functional knowledge
- Contributing to business development by identifying and developing opportunities for add-on sales
- Assisting with or leading proposal development and sales pitches
- Contributing to internal thought leadership and content development
- Participating in account teams, and over time leading the account process as an “account coordinator”
- Supporting people related activities such as recruitment, mentoring, and development as well as other internal company building activities and projects
Key Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Consultancy with significant experience in US market focused life science strategy projects
- Advanced knowledge of the US pharma industry, the healthcare environment and healthcare stakeholders' perspectives, including payers and policy makers is an advantage
- Experience with market access or medical affairs projects are an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presenting, facilitating meetings and workshops, and report writing
- Superior project management skills
- Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoys creating and maintaining positive working relationships in multi-disciplinary and international teams
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong interest in business development
- Proven customer relationship building capabilities, including the ability to generate follow-up sales or sales leads
- Strong sense of ownership and interest in growing an organization
- Ability to coach and develop junior consultants
- Fluency in English is required, fluency in other languages is a benefit
