Consumer and Construction Loan Officer
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Consumer and Construction Loan Officer to join our growing company. In this position, you will evaluate and seek approval for quality loan applications that meet our standards as defined in our Consumer Loan Policy. You will act as a liaison between borrowers and the bank as well as process loan applications, solicit loans, and maintain a portfolio of customer relationships. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly proficient in consumer real estate lending including HELOCs, HELOANs, TRID consumer lending (both construction and bridge), as well as the ability to structure and underwrite builder/contractor construction facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluate credit and collect and analyze financial documentation
- Engage with customers to determine loan needs
- Prepare loan proposals for credit approval
- Process loan applications and documentation
- Advise clients on loan policies and restrictions
- Maintain and update client account records
- Coordinate with team to meet scheduled closing dates
- Submit loan applications and documentations
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws
- Interview loan applicants
- Advise borrowers on financial status and payment methods
- Monitor existing customer portfolio including active construction projects and construction draws.
- Perform any and all other duties needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field preferred
- Mortgage loan officers must be licensed as mortgage loan originators (MLO)
- State loan officer license from the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal loan regulations
- Comprehensive understanding of TRID and all other Consumer Lending regulations
- Strict adherence to company financial policies and processes
- Experienced at compiling and following policies and processes
- Able to analyze financial records and transfer data
- Able to work effectively with other teams within the bank
