SUMMARY:
Loan Operations services and supports all loan areas of the bank beginning with data entry of new loans and maintaining existing loans through payoff. Loan Operations strives to provide excellent internal and external customer support for existing business and consumer loans.
Responsible for all job activities related to entering new consumer loans into the loan operating system, verifying accuracy of data entry and performing any maintenance required to maintain the integrity of the loan records. Provides internal and external customer support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learns entry process for new loans within the core loan accounting system specific to the understanding of the loan documentation.
Reviews loan data provided for adherence to accuracy and various regulatory and compliance requirements.
Interacts with loan document preparation software application(s) for review, legitimacy and verification of new consumer loan entry and validating General Ledger In-Process account.
Reads loan documentation and works with Consumer Lending regarding understanding loan documentation for maintaining accuracy within loan accounting system.
Calculates and processes consumer loan payments.
Learns, understands and calculates accrued and paid interest.
Assists with Consumer Loan audits.
Reviews and maintains loan maintenance on existing consumer loans within loan accounting system.
Reviews and verifies loan maintenance for accuracy and completion.
Uploads documents to electronic filing system.
Sets up and maintains automatic transfer & overdraft protection within loan accounting system.
Completes transaction calculations and transaction reversals and corrections within loan accounting system.
Completes loan fee processing within loan accounting system.
Researches consumer loan history and documentation based on requests received.
Makes phone calls and emails relative to group responsibilities.
Assists, reviews and/or completes Loan Operations projects including customer complaints and issues, new and/or existing Loan Operations projects, loan software conversions, regulatory requirements, WesBanco products and services related to loans, WesBanco internal requests, review of loan accounting software updates and enhancement and other assistance as needed.
Assists with post software conversion items that may or may not be directly related to consumer loans and may be temporary or permanent additional responsibilities.
Completes additional responsibilities related to consumer loans currently being maintained by Loan Operations groups and not by Consumer Loan Associates or Specialists.
Cross trains others as to the Loan Associate/Specialist responsibilities mentioned above.
Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.
Ability to use bank core software and other banking systems required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel required.
Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Previous experience in an office environment is required.
Minimum of one year experience in banking preferably in loans or operations required.
Proficiency in understanding of debit and credit functions required.
Basic math skills including adding, subtracting, calculating percentages required.
Leadership skills preferred.
