Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience: 5+ years of experience in CMMS administration, maintenance management, or asset management within the maritime or offshore industry.
Languages English
Traits Strong background in maintenance data management within the maritime sector, with the ability to navigate the variety of requirements from the multiple types of fleet vessel classes and maintenance requirements. This role requires strong technical knowledge, organizational skills, and the ability to manage content across a complex and diverse fleet of vessels.
Preferred Qualifications
Skills/Software Advanced skill with CMMS software e.g., NSE (preferred), Maximo, Helm, SAMM. Knowledge of asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, and maritime-specific equipment. Skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (for reporting and data analysis), PowerBi and SQL not required but preferred.
Education Knowledge of maritime asset management and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
CMMS Data Management for Maritime Assets:
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive maintenance records for vessels and maritime equipment in the CMMS system, maintenance plans, equipment histories, equipment details, and spare parts inventories.
- Ensure accurate data entry for all shipboard and shore-based maintenance activities, tracking equipment performance, inspections, and repairs.
Maintenance Plan Administration:
- Implement operational changes to the maintenance plan using a standard method across multiple shipping lines.
CMMS System Maintenance & Updates:
- Assist in the implementation of regular updates and system configurations to enhance CMMS functionality, improve reporting accuracy, and ensure the system is tailored to the specific needs of the maritime environment.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance schedules are maintained, reviewed, and updated to reflect regulatory requirements and best practices for maritime operations as directed by the vessel's technical management group.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Develop reports to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for maintenance activities, including downtime, fleet performance, work order efficiency, and equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with the fleet management teams to evaluate maintenance trends and suggest improvements or corrective actions.
User Support & Training:
- Provide training and support to ship crews, engineers, and maintenance personnel on the use of the CMMS, including troubleshooting and navigating system features.
- Offer guidance on CMMS best practices and ensure consistent application across shipboard and shore-based teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with maritime operations, technical support teams, procurement, and inventory management to ensure smooth operations and alignment between the fleet's maintenance needs and available resources.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely repairs, parts availability, and CMMS-related enhancements.
