Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented content creator to join our dynamic marketing team. This role is responsible for producing, reviewing, and editing content for all channels with an emphasis on social media content. The content creator will work closely with the marketing team to ensure consistency with brand standards while developing engaging and innovative content.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work closely with the Social Media Manager to plan and execute content strategies that drive engagement and meet marketing objectives. Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and develop creative ideas that align with campaign goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to identify specific content needs for each property and follow a creative direction that aligns with the brand’s goals, ensuring that all content supports the overall social media strategy and adheres to platform-specific best practices.
- Maintain brand consistency across all content while ensuring alignment with the brand’s history, values, and long-term plans.
- Create a variety of high-quality multimedia content, including photos, traditional videos, social media-specific videos, blog posts, and graphics to be utilized across the brand's social media channels, websites, and email campaigns.
- Showcase the brand’s amenities, services, events, and guest experiences, highlighting the unique atmosphere and offerings of each hotel and food & beverage outlet through a creative storytelling lens.
- Plan and coordinate photo and video shoots, including scheduling, logistics, and equipment management, to ensure smooth and efficient content production.
- Ensure that all content complies with copyright and data protection laws, adhering to the Kessler Collection and Marriott brand guidelines and legal standards.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
To perform this role successfully, an individual must have experience achieving desired result(s) in their areas of responsibility. The requirements listed below are representative of observable behaviors and essential knowledge, skill, and abilities required of a successful incumbent within our culture.
- Strong understanding of how to manage professional photography and videography equipment, including DSLRs, microphones, and lighting setups.
- Proven experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in photography and videography, with experience in creating and editing high-quality traditional videos and social media-specific videos using professional equipment and software.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Experience using content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) and Canva.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and content management systems (CMS).
- Flexibility to work on weekends and evenings for events as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education, License, Certifications, Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field – preferred
- 2+ years of experience in social media management or content creation – required
- Hospitality experience – preferred
- Luxury experience – preferred
