Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Content Management System (CMS) Manager. The ideal candidate will work closely with the author, editorial, design, product and technology teams to ensure that our digital content is efficiently ingested, organized, validated, and accessible for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Strategy: Lead the content strategy for the content management system, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives. Oversee the design and implementation of the CMS content roadmap, the structure and architecture of the content as well as content workflows.
- System Management: Build and foster close collaboration with the system (technical) co-administrator. Manage the day-to-day operations of the CMS, including content migration, organization, tagging, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure that all content is up-to-date and easily accessible. Prioritize bugs and provide solutions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with author, editorial, product, and engineering teams to define requirements for new projects, and improve content processes. Ensure that all stakeholders are trained effectively in CMS functionalities.
- Content Development: Perform content analysis and documentation and assist in the ingestion and validation of multimedia early childhood educational curricular content.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze content performance through metrics and user feedback. Generate reports to inform decision-making and guide future content strategies.
- User Support: Provide support for internal users of the CMS, resolving issues promptly and ensuring a smooth user experience. Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff as well as vendors on CMS tools and best practices. Actively participate in learning opportunities provided by CMS platform provider and communicate support issues and open tickets to platform provide when needed.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities:
The CMS Manager will support:

- Ownership & governance
- Train others on CMS
- Content analysis and documentation
- Roadmap development and management
- Vendor liaison
- Platform maintenance & usage data
- Management of content needs across multiple Teaching Strategies products
- Collaboration of content & editorial teams to:
- Support net-new content development (e.g., template development, folder structure, etc.)
- Prioritize content validation
- Perform content quality assurance and audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in content management, digital publishing, or a similar role, preferably in the educational or publishing sector.
- Ability to understand CMS technical details, explain best practices, and make recommendations to stakeholders and technical teams based on those understandings.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles and curriculum development is a plus.
