Overview
The Content Manager will take a lead role in managing all written program curriculum and communications on behalf of our client as it relates to programs in both digital and print. This individual will interface daily with clients to work through business requests, content needs, plan development and execution against a timeline. Working in conjunction with our Creative and IT Teams, they will be instrumental in ensuring brand guidelines and grammatical accuracy of all content and communications. They should understand instructional design, how to create a meaningful learning experience and how to translate that to a user-friendly online experience.
This individual needs to go beyond a single execution of creating training content that is accurate and think of how to engage a wide range of fields and dealer audiences of varying experience and expertise across the full dealership sales spectrum.
The role is remote, but on occasion will need to be in-office for meetings. Office location is Dearborn, MI.
Responsibilities
- Interface with clients to capture business requests and critical information for use in building strategic and targeted curriculum with transcending language and tone
- Attend frequent client meetings in a fast-paced workstream to gain mastery of industry first concepts and objectives, maintaining thorough notes for use in collaboration with a small, dedicated team
- Lead in managing and creating training and communications assets (print, video, web content and communications)
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the team to create concepts and curriculum strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling deliverables that support client projects
- Learn and work within the established cross-department practices
- Maintain a strong knowledge of content strategy, design concepts, automotive sales processes, automotive digital retailing tools, marketing principles and practices, and the tools and software utilized on the team
- Keep up to date on industry trends and evolve your work accordingly
- Provide dedicated support through periods of hyper-care that may sometimes extend outside of traditional business hours
- Act as a thought leader by continuously identifying and finding solutions for areas of opportunity in the business
- Perform other duties as requested by client or manager
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience managing digital, video, and print media content
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, public relations, marketing, communications, writing or a related field of study
- Demonstrated history of delivering exceptional content
- Must have strong automotive and in-dealership department and process experience
- Must be fluent in automotive digital retailing tools
- Must be fluent in Office 365, PowerPoint, Adobe, OneNote and Teams
- Must be able to work in multimedia software such as Frame.io
- Must be a master of content development across all media channels (print, video, web and communications)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills with an ability to make decisions for the business
- Flexible to work through video/conference calls, and sometimes meet at requested hours that may be outside of traditional business hours
