Who We Are Looking For
As the Senior Specialist of Data Analysis on Clutch's Content Marketing team, you will play a critical role in shaping data-driven content strategies, focusing on research, insights, mining internal data sets, and conducting external surveys and market research. This position requires a blend of analytical skills and editorial expertise to identify impactful insights and develop engaging content, visuals, and surveys that drive organic growth and align with SEO best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ideate data-driven sources and scope dashboards to mine internal data sets, and then work independently to conduct additional research to analyze and visualize data into compelling stories for inclusion in editorial content.
Responsibilities
- Data Analytics and Visualization:
- Leverage data from tools such as Looker, GA4, and Ahrefs, to develop insights that shape copy and priorities in the editorial calendar.
- Conduct cross-tab analysis and research to identify trends, opportunities, and insights to visualize and use in content.
- Design and create surveys to gather audience insights, using the data to inform and improve content strategies.
- Develop visuals and performance reports to present findings and articulate their impact on content initiatives.
- Survey Creation & Insights Development:
- Design and implement buyer surveys and other research tools to capture insights that guide content decisions.
- Analyze survey results and market research to extract actionable insights, presenting findings through visuals, reports, and decks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to incorporate insights into editorial content, ensuring it resonates with key audiences and drives engagement.
- Content Creation, Optimization and Management:
- Contribute to the development and optimization of content, including blogs, articles, pricing guides, and surveys, ensuring alignment with SEO strategies and audience needs.
- Identify low-performing content and implement optimizations to meet traffic growth goals and improve content rankings.
- Complete 100% of monthly content production tasks, ensuring all content is high quality, data-driven, and meets deadlines.
- Execute large cross-functional projects independently, ensuring that high-impact tasks are completed on time and aligned with business goals.
- SEO & Performance Tracking:
- Perform advanced keyword research to inform content strategies and ensure optimized search rankings.
- Monitor and report on keyword movements and content performance, using data to continuously refine strategies.
- Implement on-page SEO and meta updates to ensure content is optimized for search algorithms and reflects the latest SEO trends.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Partner with design, communications, and product teams to enhance content with visuals, data, and interactive elements.
- Communicate progress, roadblocks, and insights to marketing leadership, providing strategic foresight and updates on editorial content performance.
- Present performance reports and recommendations to key stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions are made at every level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in data analytics and/or research, with a strong focus on editorial content, storytelling, and SEO.
- Proven track record of using data to develop content insights and improve content performance.
- Experience in conducting cross-tab analysis and creating surveys to gather and leverage audience insights.
- Proficient in Looker, GA4, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and other content performance tools.
- Familiarity with pivot tables and the ability to visualize data and performance insights.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and their application in content strategy.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on maintaining high-quality content standards.

In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in Clutch's annual performance bonus program and any applicable incentives, which will be communicated during the hiring process.
Salary at Clutch is determined based on factors such as relevant qualifications, experience, and market. For this position, we expect a base salary range between $65,000 and $85,000.
