Position Summary Foundation Software, a rapidly growing, national provider of construction software and services, seeks a highly skilled, experienced Content and Training Specialist to join our growing implementation team. While the candidate will work within the operations team, they will truly interact company wide as they work to guide the look and feel to training content for Foundations Suite of products. The Content and Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging training content and materials that enhance the skills and knowledge of our team members and customers. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to create instructional resources, facilitating training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in content development, instructional design, and training facilitation, with a passion for continuous learning and development.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs that align with organizational goals and employee development needs.
- Create high-quality instructional materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and multimedia content.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and tailor training solutions accordingly.
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and webinars, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning environment.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in training and development.
- Manage training schedules and logistics, ensuring timely delivery of training sessions.
- Provide ongoing support and resources to employees post-training to reinforce learning.
- Assist in the development of onboarding materials for new hires.
- Must continue your education with the Software, new modules, and any industry factors required to perform the job accordingly.
- Notify the Manager or a Supervisor of any escalated issues that need to be addressed.
- Project a positive, cooperative image as a representative of the company helping associates, clients and other third parties whenever possible
- Meet with marketing regularly to discuss current and future functionality and ensure materials developed stay with brand guidelines.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years' experience in a content/training development role
- Proven experience in instructional design, content creation, and training facilitation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
- Background with e-learning authoring tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS), is a plus.
- Experience creating how-to guides and instructional materials for various platforms.
- Familiarity with video content creation using tools such as Camtasia or similar software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with performance evaluation methods and training assessment techniques
- Basic computer and keyboarding skills, and the ability to navigate through a Microsoft Windows application
- The employee must have a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Company's insurance company.
