If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work contingently as a Navigate Family Educator!
What You Will Be Doing
Working as a Contingent Navigate Family Educator you will provide Family Education using a modularized intervention. These modules provide psychoeducation around psychosis and skill-building in areas such as coping with stress, medication management, and communication with an emphasis maintaining and strengthening the family unit while working towards recovery. Services are provided in office, virtually, and in the community per client preference.
What We Require
A master’s degreein social work, Psychology, or a related field and three years’ experiencein clinical settings working with the target population is required.Additionally, the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the DSM V diagnostic criteria, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, evidence-based and promising practice interventions, and familiarity with psychotropic medications, experience with involuntary hospitalization procedures and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are desired.This position requires either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Limited License Psychologist (LLP), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a valid Michigan Motor Vehicle Operator’s license. Must be available for evening sessions. This is a grant funded position with funding through 09/30/2025.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.
Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machine, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, infectious diseases, and parasites. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
