#CloroxIsThePlaceYour role at Clorox:The Continuous Improvement Manager role provides the coaching and training required to guide Manufacturing Operations through the establishment and implementation of Operational Excellence (GME/TPM/Lean) principles at the Aberdeen, MD Cleaning site to deliver throughput, cost, and inventory improvement
This role is responsible for assessing and developing (in others) capabilities required to create sustainable improvement and set the desired pace of manufacturing excellence execution
The role will also work with the Site’s Manufacturing Leadership Team to ensure consistency and standardization of best practices and tools.The work ranges from leading and facilitating key improvement work on the plant floor to coaching leadership on change management and long term planning.In this role, you will:Build and own the integrated master plan for implementation including, but not limited to: leadership activities, maintenance systems, sustaining processes and other loss elimination processes and tools.Lead Operational Excellence implementation to ensure: strategy alignment across business, customer focused organization, process integration, team ownership, tiered problem solving methodology, data integrity and risk management.Coach and mentor the entire site on the integration of Manufacturing Excellence tools including the creation and maintaining of the Area of Excellence structures and sequencing of applications.Develop a site improvement strategy.Facilitate training and improvement activities with leadership and operational resources.Be responsible for the leadership pilot (learning/modeling) activities at the sites.Lead the implementation plan and Stage progression.Lead the site loss and waste analysis.Implement ITFs (Implementation Task Force) across site.Drive PIPs (Process Improvement Project) to eliminate losses.Review process improvements and make recommendations and solutions at the sites
Use expertise to discuss strategy to get results/ improvements.Connect Business, division and local imperatives to the Manufacturing Excellence work within the function.Provide strong communication and implementation as well as analyze and review results.Stay connected and updated on current local and market trends in order to support better positioning towards Operational Excellence.Provide Reliability Engineering and Constraint management mentoring and implementationProvide training and development at training events.Provide standardized training and documentation as the owner of key processes.Own coordination and summary of plant metrics/plansMaintain key process training and other documentation for database/web site use.Will develop Manufacturing Excellence expertise in others and apply to company processes.What we look for:4-year degree in Engineering, Business, or Manufacturing5+ years in manufacturing with direct leadership experienceProven experience leading organizational change in a manufacturing environment.Experience with Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and ERP systems.TPM or Lean Manufacturing experience, with Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Proficiency in OSHA and ISO standards compliance.Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Strong project management skills: ability to plan, execute, and manage multiple projects/activities.Proven leadership experience conducting meetings, training, and problem-solving sessions.Experience in developing and delivering technical training.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively influence and lead teams.Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.Ability to maintain high contribution while traveling up to 10-25%.#LI-OnsiteWorkplace type:OnsiteWe seek out and celebrate diverse backgrounds and experiences
