General Description
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible for the production improvement processes, quality assurance, and training. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing our current production practices and identifying the areas needed for improvement. After describing your findings with management, you will lead efforts to implement changes and train staff to increase efficiency and reduce expenses. You will collaborate regularly with our production and Quality Manager to ensure measurable results, documenting each phase of the changes, and reporting improvements to upper management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Analyze and assess current production processes while identifying areas of improvement.
- Develop strategies to optimize workflow and eliminate waste within the organization.
- Create a continuous improvement general roadmap and a master schedule for lean implementation.
- Promote lean manufacturing by educating the organization on the use of lean principles.
- Perform gap analyses to identify deficiencies in business processes and programs.
- Document changes and create regular reports for upper management.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to implement change in various areas of the organization to foster a culture of continuous learning and change.
- Measure success of initiatives through key performance indicators (KPI's) such as cost savings, productivity improvements, and customer satisfaction.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Sense of urgency and ability to achieve results.
- Analytical and math skills.
- Knowledge of six sigma & Kaizen methodology required.
Education and/or Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or operational process role.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred).
