How You Will Make an Impact?
This three-month summer internship is a full-time position intended for college students entering the junior or senior year in a Bachelor's degree program focused on Supply Chain Management or a related field of study.
You must be open to future relocation for career progression in order to be selected for this program.
T he Nuts and Bolts
- Defining, measuring, and analyzing potential new Continuous Improvement projects within manufacturing operations.
- Document current processes and propose improved processes. Standardize processes across various business units, developing Standard Operating Procedures. Create Standardized Operating Procedures (Work Instructions) in order to increase workflow efficiency.
- Implement process management/process improvement initiatives following Lean Six Sigma principles.
- Planning, leading, and documenting Lean and Kaizen events.
- Mentor employees as they apply Lean methodology to problem solving and project execution. Assist in teaching Lean Six Sigma principles to line staff: train others in use of tools and methodologies as part of project execution.
- Follow and comply with all Environmental Health & Safety policies.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Credentials
- Entering the junior or senior year of a Bachelor's degree in Continuous Improvement, Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field of study in progress during the summer of 2024.
- Desire and willingness to learn and implement Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing procedures and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills. Skilled in problem solving, innovation and team participation.
- High level of self-motivation and personal accountability works with a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office for analyzing data and presenting projects.
- Some local travel between corporate HQ and manufacturing plants may be required.
- Must be open to relocation for future career progression.
