Primary Purpose:
This position is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and leading approved continuous improvement efforts for the manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the VP/GM and will partner with plant resources to drive improved processes to achieve our goals and impact financial results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bring value and solutions to facilitate the Mission of CPP Titanium:
• To be the preferred titanium investment casting provider in aerospace and defense, providing cost-effective product that meets customer quality and delivery requirements
• To be an employer of choice, providing a safe and engaging workplace driven by quality, process control, and continuous improvement
• To create value and business growth through execution of the above
Our daily objectives of Safety, Quality, and Throughput are intentionally prioritized in that order.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office or manufacturing environment.
Travel: Some travel required between CPP sites, including Mexico sites

- Lead multiple process improvement initiatives that span multiple operations functions.
- Maintain a pipeline of improvement opportunities executing on the highest priority opportunities in a systematic manner
- Drive measurable improvements by identifying opportunities to reduce scrape, simplify processes, while driving optimization and cost efficiencies.
- Prepare and manage follow-up activities ensuring sustainment.
- Guide and challenge cross-functional teams in development and execution of continuous improvement activities.
- Interact with colleagues, functional leaders, and other departments to ensure that strategic objectives are considered in ongoing projects to achieve identified goals.
- Leverage/benchmark best practices and drive consistence implementation across the organization.
- Provide monthly updates on continuous improvement initiatives and metrics.
- Ability to challenge status quo and comfortable with managing ambiguity.
Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (applicable experience considered in lieu of, or in combination with, education)
REQUIRED Experience :
- 10 years leadership/management experience
- 5 or more years in aerospace manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing Principles
- Language Skills - Ability to read, understand and comprehend document such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, Oracle reports and Internal Methods Sheets (IMS). Ability to carry out instruction in written, oral or diagram form. Excellent team skills and able to interact with other employees, engineers and senior leadership. Ability to report progress with managers and engineers to solve issues.
- Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
- Strong and effective communication skills - ability to proactively communicate in verbal and written form; promote a collaborative team environment
- Mathematical Skills - ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills - Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office and Manufacturing software. Knowledge of computers.
