IES Residential is seeking a Contracts Administrator to join our Legal Department. In this role, you will act as a critical liaison between our Legal Department and Division Managers, ensuring that contracts are reviewed, summarized, and processed with accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with the ability to handle a variety of contract types.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contract Management:
- Review and summarize a variety of contract types, including residential, general contractor (GC) contracts, real estate leases, and event agreements.
- Utilize Word and Adobe Acrobat for editing contracts with redlining and track changes, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Actively collaborate with the Legal Department and Division Managers to resolve contract-related issues.
Document Review & Summarization:
- Read, interpret, and summarize contract language, ensuring full understanding of risks, liabilities, and requirements.
- Identify and escalate any legal or compliance concerns that arise during contract review.
- Provide training and guidance as needed for other team members involved in contract management.
Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as the key point of contact for Division Managers, maintaining consistent and clear communication regarding contract status and any required actions.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of contracts, with attention to deadlines and deliverables.
- Manage and update contract records and documentation according to company standards.
Flexibility & Adaptability:
- Be ready to manage and adapt to a variety of contract types, ranging from general contractor agreements to real estate transactions and event agreements.
- Approach new contract types with a willingness to learn and apply training materials provided by IES Residential.
Additional Support:
- Assist the Contracts Manager and Legal Department with ad hoc projects and additional duties as needed to support the growing needs of the business.
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including scanning, filing, and maintaining contract documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- Prior experience in contract administration, paralegal work, or a related legal field is a plus.
- Familiarity with redlining, contract review, and summarization is highly desirable but can be trained on the job.
Skills:
- Strong comprehension skills with the ability to read, interpret, and summarize contract language accurately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word (Track Changes) and Adobe Acrobat for document editing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
