Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Contract Administrator III to join our team, reporting to the TDIP Program Controls Manager. In this role, you will collaborate with the project management team to ensure that projects comply with all contractual terms, as well as city, state, and federal regulations. Projects may include Airline Terminal Improvements, Airport Service Improvements, Terminal Development, and Asset Renewal initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on contractual issues and prepare related correspondence.
- Facilitate the review process for potential change claims from contractors.
- Assemble Task Orders and Change Orders, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
- Communicate budget changes to the cost engineering team for accurate project reporting.
- Monitor insurance compliance and ensure timely administration of contract changes.
- Prepare reports and attend various project meetings, including pre- and post-bid debriefings.
- Assist in standardizing contracts and resolving disputes between contractors and LAWA.
- Review contractor invoices for compliance and conduct closeout actions upon contract completion.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial or government contract administration.
- Proven track record in managing complex, multi-million-dollar construction projects.
- Familiarity with alternative project delivery methods such as Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) is preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of construction programs and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of producing timely results in a collaborative environment.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PE, or cost engineer certifications (CCE, CCP) are required.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, salaried position based on a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
- The role is based at LAX and may require after-hours or weekend work as needed.
- The consultant must provide their own laptop for company business and have a cell phone for communication.
- A desktop computer will be provided for use at the office.
