Expected salary range of $74,700 to $83,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
Under minimal direction, the Contract Analyst provides support to the business by generating and maintaining documents required to complete the contracted task for the customers and subcontractors. Creates correspondence, maintains and manages customer and subcontractor files, and maintains the contract database. Conducts periodic trainings and work to improve contract and related processes.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Issues and maintains all contracts, subcontracts, scopes of work, and material purchase orders for retail distributed energy business. Manages all master files and form contracts to ensure they are up to date and complete. Coordinates receipt of all documents from subcontractors to maintain a complete and compliant contract file. Manages receipt of certificates of insurance and bonds, and the receipt and transmittal of certified payroll reports. Generates and maintains documents required to complete the contracted task for customers and subcontractors. Creates correspondence, maintains and manages customer and subcontractor files, and maintains the contract database. Attend in-person meetings in Baltimore, obtain signatures from executives, and explain subcontracts and scopes of work and change orders together with project managers and other internal interested parties. Assist with resolution of minor project disputes with subcontractors.

- Conduct due diligence and draft correspondence in response to internal and external customer inquiries. 10%
- Maintain and update contract templates, and system for storing and retrieval of documents. 30%
- Work with other departments and customers to affect execution of contracts. 25%
- Conducts periodic trainings of business people relating to contract and related processes and other contracts topics as assigned.
- Evaluate existing contracting contract and related processes, and help develop and implement improvements and new processes as appropriate. Assist with special projects as assigned. 25%
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
- At least 2 years legal experience
- Ability to read and analyze legal and contract materials and other data.
- Requires excellent clerical skills and knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation; requires excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, in order to respond quickly and accurately to time-sensitive contracting matters
- Strong verbal communication and writing skills, and experience with customer negotiations

- Ability to use computer applications to develop spreadsheets, reports and presentation materials (Word, Excel)

- Experience and knowledge of the energy industry
