Contracts Unit Manager – Hollywood, FL (Local Candidates Only)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Unit Manager to lead and oversee all contract-related activities, including preparation, review, and monitoring of business contracts for acquiring goods, materials, and services. This role involves managing various solicitation types, including RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, and ITQs.
The Contracts Unit Manager will coordinate contract flow between the Purchasing, Legal, Risk Management, and End User departments to ensure full compliance with policies and procedures. Additionally, this individual will engage directly with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders during the review, negotiation, and execution processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from preparation to execution.
- Manage communication and coordination between internal departments and suppliers/vendors.
- Supervise and guide the contract staff within the Purchasing Department.
- Ensure all contracts meet the relevant legal, financial, and procedural requirements.
- Maintain and monitor contract compliance, ensuring timely execution and resolution of issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in contract management, including state and local level contracts.
- Strong knowledge of solicitation processes (RFP, RFQ, ITB, ITQ).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and contract tracking systems.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required; ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Local candidates only. Must have at least 5 years of recent experience managing contracts, with a focus on local and state-level contracts, and working closely with purchasing teams.
