Travel RN Critical Care Float Pool

Location: Duluth, MN

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our partner hospital's Critical Care Float Pool in Duluth, MN. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients across various intensive care units, including ICU, CCU, and other specialized areas.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a variety of ICU settings.
• Utilize your advanced assessment and clinical skills to monitor and interpret complex patient data, including vital signs, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator settings.
• Administer medications and treatments, including vasoactive drips and critical care medications, with precision and vigilance.
• Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on their conditions, treatment plans, and recovery process.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient populations.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to float to different units based on staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of Minnesota or a compact state license.
• Minimum 1 year of Critical Care Nursing experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts
• Day/Night rotation
• 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
