We have a wonderful COTA opportunity at one of our partner Skilled Nursing Facilities in Idaho Falls, ID for a in-person and full-time need (13 week contract).

You will play a crucial role in assisting the Occupational Therapist in providing comprehensive care to patients within the medical environment. Your expertise in implementing treatment plans, conducting therapeutic activities, and supporting patients in their rehabilitation journey will contribute to improving their functional abilities and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assistant licensed Occupational Therapist in executing treatment plans to enhance patient independence and functional abilities
• Provide direct assistance and aid in ADL’s during therapy sessions to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Conduct exercises to improve motor skills and coordination under therapist’s guidance
• Assist in accurate record-keeping of patient progress and interventions
• Collaborate in assessing home safety and recommending assistive devices
• Educate patients and families on techniques for independence and safety
• Work with therapy team to ensure coordinated care to patients
• Adhere to professional standards and regulations
  

Requirements:

• Valid certification as a COTA or equivalent in the state where services are provided.
• Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Previous experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
