Contract Specialist - Influential

Influential is looking for an experienced and highly motivated team player to join our Business & Legal Affairs team in a Contract Specialist role, reporting to the Director of Business and Legal Affairs. The Contract Specialist will provide support and assistance with drafting and reviewing legal documents, performing legal research, and day-to-day tasks under direct supervision of a licensed attorney. In general, on a typical day you will:
●     Create, prepare, and audit initial drafts of influencer campaign agreements, track pending matters, and prepare execution copies
●     Serve as a resource for Operations teams' inquiries about governing terms of their influencer campaign agreements
●     Organize and maintain influencer contracts in our contract management system
●     Conduct rights analysis, summarize existing and proposed agreements and research relevant legal issues
●     Perform research on rights, media platforms, legal provisions, and industry and territory-specific laws and requirements and other general support to attorneys
●     Work with Legal team to assess advertising claims substantiation, review influencer-created content, prepare disclosures, disclaimers, and support sweepstakes, contests, and promotional offers
●     Learn and implement the company's review and approval protocols
●     Liaise with the Operations teams to track and manage contract status and related reporting, maintain and track reports for all assigned projects and ensure that agreements are executed in a timely manner
●     Manage incoming requests for contracts, track pending matters, prepare execution copies and fully executed copies for distribution
●     Additional responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Business & Legal Affairs

Being a Contract Specialist requires:

• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree; Paralegal certificate or Juris Doctor degree is a plus
• Experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and legal operations, particularly in the beauty or talent management space
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools
• Ability to handle high-volume workflows with competing deadlines
• Work experience in business affairs, legal, contract management or other relevant role
• Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate and interact with clients, agents, managers and outside attorneys
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to provide risk assessments and risk reduction solutions to cross-functional teams
• Experience using contract database software
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills
