Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Duration: 06 months + convert to FTE on pending performance
Location: Remote
Payrate: $60 to $65/Hr on W2
The ServiceNow Developer provides and coordinates operational support and development of ServiceNow. The position’s responsibilities include platform maintenance and administration, installing plug-ins as needed, partnering with ServiceNow customers and users, providing metrics reporting and statistics, trouble-shooting issues with the vendor, developing solutions that may require scripting to meet customer requirements, mentoring teammates, analyzing the impact of upgrades to current and new functionality, resolving upgrade conflicts, and custom application development.
Required Qualifications
•6+ years of Information Technology experience
•BA degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field; OR 4 years of computer programming experience
•4+ years of ServiceNow platform experience
•4+ years of experience with JavaScript and integrations with external applications and/or systems
•Certified ServiceNow System Administrator
•Certified ServiceNow Application Developer
•Strong understanding of system infrastructure and ServiceNow best practices
•Solid ability to configure and integrate proposed changes to the current infrastructure
•Skilled at creating and modifying user interface policies, scripts, and scheduled jobs
•Strong understanding of ServiceNow tables and ability to create table extensions/forms/views
•Strong demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Visio
•Strong experience writing and comprehending technical documentation and business documentation
•Experience with developing, scripting, or modifying workflow routines with JavaScript
•Excellent communication skills in technical and non-technical vernacular
•Excellent technical writing and documenting abilities
•Experience participating on project teams from initiation through successful implementation and acceptance of application changes
•Understanding of Agile methodology
•Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities
•Able to be on-call 24X7 in areas of expertise
Accountabilities:
•Assesses, tests, and implements ServiceNow enhancements and manages or coordinates maintenance activities and implementations of new applications within the platform
•Documents current data flow and the relationships between software and hardware while noting dependencies and hardware requirements
•Reviews vendor updates and schedules; aligning changes to service requests; initiating change management activity
•Partners with vendors to ensure issue resolution, assess upgrades and patches, communicate potential issues, and coordinate upgrades and patches
•Analyzes user requests, provides work estimates, timelines, and potential liabilities for larger changes
•Reviews and implements enhancement requests; evaluating application, process and documentation impacts, coordinating upgrades, and ensuring smooth transitions
•May create or assist in the creation of training materials for new applications and upgrades
•Maintains compliance to Service Management processes and procedures; responding to support requests & incidents
•Develops user interface policies, data policies, business rules, ACL's, and scripting
•Audits changes for compliance to policies, procedures, and architectural standards
•Mentors and tutors Associate and Intermediate ServiceNow Developers.
•Designs, codes, and documents customized report specifications
